Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem has opposed holding any negotiations with Israel.
“Elchi” reports that Qassem’s statement on this matter was published by the Mehr News Agency.
The Hezbollah leader accused the Lebanese government of weakening the resistance’s internal potential. At the same time, he called on the country’s prime minister to cooperate: “Let us stand together against the aggression, and then we will agree on everything.”
“We reject any negotiations (with Israel – ed.). These negotiations are fruitless, and Lebanon needs internal solidarity to change the course of events,” N. Qassem emphasized.
It should be noted that preliminary talks between Lebanese and Israeli delegations, led by the ambassadors of both countries to the US, will be held in Washington on April 14.
