The “Anatolian Phoenix – 2026” international search and rescue exercise, held in Konya, the Republic of Türkiye, continues successfully.

It was stated that during the briefings held in accordance with the exercise plan, the participants were provided with detailed information about safety rules, the stages of the tasks to be performed, as well as the terrain and climatic features of the area where the operations will be conducted.
According to the task, a complex operation was carried out by parachute-descent and search-and-rescue units to detect and rescue a pilot who had a simulated crash. The specialists of the parachute-descent and search-and-rescue service, deployed to the area by helicopter, landed using the “fast rope” method, neutralized the simulated terrorist group that had taken positions in the building, and captured the group leader.
In the next stage of the operation, full control over the area was ensured, and the pilot was safely evacuated. After the successful execution of the task, the personnel left the area by helicopter.
At the same time, the aviation assets involved in the operation provided air cover and fire support to the groups, assisting in the effective execution of the tasks.
During the activities performed, the high professionalism of the personnel, as well as the high level of interaction and coordination between the units, were demonstrated.
It should be noted that the international exercise will continue until April 17.
