Khayal Mazahir oglu Alizade, accused of ordering the murder of Vusal Shilder, has been extradited to Azerbaijan.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Justice.
It was stated that another person, who had been wanted internationally by the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Azerbaijan for 13 years and whose location was recently identified, was extradited to Azerbaijan by the ministry on April 10.
Thus, Khayal Mazahir oglu Alizade, an Azerbaijani citizen accused of entering into a criminal conspiracy in 2013 and ordering the intentional murder of foreign citizen V. Shilder by promising a large sum of money, which was ultimately carried out by the perpetrator Elman Iskandarov who inflicted fatal knife wounds on various parts of V. Shilder’s body (under Articles 120.2.1 and 120.2.5 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan), was located and arrested in the United Arab Emirates.
Considering the probability of the aforementioned person being in the United Arab Emirates, the required documents were sent to that state in 2023 in accordance with international procedures. Following regular negotiations and the person’s arrest, an agreement was reached regarding his extradition to Azerbaijan. This, in turn, once again confirms Azerbaijan’s existing reputation in the international arena and the fact that the United Arab Emirates is a reliable partner for our state.
Alizade Khayal Mazahir oglu was brought from the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan by responsible officers of the Main Department of International Cooperation and the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and was placed in the appropriate pre-trial detention center based on a court arrest warrant.
