The Ombudsman institution in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been abolished.
According to elchi, a session of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was held.
During the discussion of the Law of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On the abolition of the Law of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic ‘On the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic'”, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Assembly, noted that the provisions related to the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were removed from the relevant articles of the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the approval of amendments to the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”.
For this reason, it became necessary to abolish the Law of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”.
The law was put to a vote and adopted.
