During the latest operation by the Main Department for Combating Narcotics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 42 kg of narcotics were removed from circulation.

According to the information, operations are being continued by the employees of the Main Department for Combating Narcotics to prevent the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs. During the latest measure carried out in the Garadagh district, 39-year-old Gurban Aliyev and 41-year-old Eshgin Humbatov, suspected of organizing the illegal circulation of narcotics, were detained. 42 kilograms and 235 grams of marijuana laced with harmful substances and 500 psychotropic methadone pills were discovered in their possession.
Investigations revealed that the detained individuals were engaged in the sale of narcotics in the country and, for this purpose, mainly recruited young people as drug couriers.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the fact, and a preventive measure of arrest has been chosen for the detained persons by the court’s decision.
