The death toll from a Boko Haram terrorist group attack in Nigeria’s northeastern Borno state has reached 18.
elchi reports that, according to national media, Kaga Regional Chairman Zannah Lawan Ajimi shared information yesterday regarding an attack by Boko Haram members on soldiers in the Benisheikh area of Borno state.
Ajimi stated that the number of soldiers killed in the attack has reached 18.
Meanwhile, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu condemned the attack and stated that the government is determined to fight terrorism in the country.
In yesterday’s attack on soldiers, 10 soldiers, including Brigadier General O.O. Braimah, were killed and many others were wounded.
Boko Haram, which has been operating in Nigeria since the early 2000s, has caused the deaths of tens of thousands of people in mass terrorist acts since 2009.
