34th anniversary of the establishment of the Military Police celebrated

The 34th anniversary of the establishment of the Military Police has been celebrated.

This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Defense.

It was stated that the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defense was established by the order of the Minister of Defense dated April 10, 1992.

Monitoring discipline in military units, ensuring compliance with the rules of conduct for military personnel, maintaining order in troop deployment areas, and ensuring the safe movement of military convoys are among the main service directions of the Military Police.

Military police patrols serve around the clock at stationary and mobile posts in settlements and along military transport routes, exercising control over access regimes, as well as the fulfillment of daily routines by military personnel during service and combat duty.

During the 44-day Patriotic War, anti-terror operations, and other missions, the personnel of the Military Police rendered great services in organizing commandant service in our liberated territories and protecting strategic roads and important facilities.

Whether during the battles or now in the liberated territories, the Military Police have carried out tasks such as organizing commandant and patrol services, immediately taking under protection important facilities as our lands were liberated, establishing commandant posts, and participating in the collection and handover of weapons and equipment abandoned by Armenian army units to the relevant authorities.

Specially trained dogs kept at the Cynology Center operating under the department are used in mine detection, guard service, and other areas of service.
