“Israel’s ongoing attacks against Lebanon will render the planned talks with the US in Islamabad meaningless.”
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
“Israel’s renewed attack on Lebanon is a clear violation of the initial ceasefire agreement. This is a dangerous signal regarding the failure to adhere to potential agreements and an act of deception. The continuation of such steps will make negotiations meaningless. Our finger is on the trigger. Iran will never leave its Lebanese brothers and sisters alone,” the head of state said.
It should be recalled that on April 8, after US President Donald Trump announced his readiness to temporarily halt attacks on Iran, official Tehran accepted the terms of a two-week ceasefire. Negotiations between the parties are scheduled to be held in Islamabad on April 10.
The US and Israel have postponed military operations against Iran for two weeks within the framework of the relevant agreement.
