On April 8, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
“Elchi” reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan released information regarding this.
During the telephone conversation, the parties discussed the current security situation in the region.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov welcomed the ceasefire reached between the US and Iran, emphasizing that it is an important step in terms of de-escalation, strengthening stability, and improving the humanitarian situation.
The important role played by the friendly and brotherly Pakistani side in achieving the ceasefire was particularly appreciated. Success was wished to Pakistan in its efforts to promote peace and stability in the region, establish dialogue between the parties, and strengthen trust, as well as in the upcoming Islamabad talks. Hope was expressed that the Islamabad talks would have positive results.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov highly appreciated Pakistan’s consistent and principled position, as well as its constructive initiatives.
The ministers also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest and discussed the development prospects of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan partnership.
