Operations against illegal drug trafficking have been carried out by the employees of the Nasimi District Police Department.

It was stated that during the measures, 14 kilograms and 240 grams of opium and marijuana were seized from 31-year-old Saleh Soltanov, suspected of drug couriering in the capital; 17 kilograms and 350 grams of marijuana and 200 methadone pills from 46-year-old Eldaniz Bagirov; 18 kilograms and 620 grams of marijuana from 22-year-old Nijat Huseynov and his acquaintance, 31-year-old Zeynalkhan Suleymanov; and 22 kilograms of hashish resin, opium, and marijuana from 43-year-old Rauf Alasgarov and 28-year-old Baba Azizov.
As a result of the operations, a total of more than 72 kilograms of narcotics were removed from illegal circulation.
In their statements, the detained individuals indicated that they obtained the drugs through Iranian citizens they met on social networks, whose identities are being investigated, and that they planned to deliver them to various addresses in the capital to organize their distribution.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the facts. A preventive measure of arrest has been chosen by the court for each of the detained individuals.
It should be noted that during the first 3 months of this year, 156 kilograms of various types of narcotics and psychotropic substances, as well as 2,000 methadone pills, have been removed from illegal circulation by the employees of the Nasimi District Police Department.
