White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt called the ceasefire a “victory for the US,” claiming that the US had achieved its main military objectives in Iran within 38 days.
“Elchi” reports that White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt issued a written statement regarding the 2-week ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump with Iran. Reminding that Trump had predicted from the beginning that Operation “Epic Fury” against Iran would last 4-6 weeks, Leavitt said: “Thanks to the incredible capabilities of our warfighters, we achieved and exceeded our main military objectives in 38 days.”
“Trump and our military made victory possible”
Regarding the ceasefire, Leavitt said: “This is a victory for the United States, made possible by President Trump and our incredible military,” and added: “The success of our military gave the US the greatest possible leverage and allowed President Trump and his team to engage in tough negotiations that opened the door to a diplomatic solution and long-term peace.”
“Trump ensured the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz”
Emphasizing that Trump “ensured the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz,” Leavitt said, “Never underestimate President Trump’s ability to successfully defend American interests and create peace.” Leavitt added that detailed information on the matter will be presented to the public tomorrow morning by US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Cane.
