According to the latest information received by the Azerbaijan Insurers Association from local insurance market participants as of today, a total of 620 insurance claims have been submitted to 5 non-life insurance companies regarding insurance events that occurred between April 4-6, 2026.

It was stated that 417 of these claims were related to “Compulsory insurance of civil liability of motor vehicle owners”, 75 to “Casco” (“Motor vehicle insurance”), 103 to “Compulsory real estate insurance”, and 25 to “Property insurance against fire and other risks”.
According to the data, the estimated damage amount for 442 assessed insurance events has been determined at 311,720 manats. The damage assessment process for the remaining 178 events is ongoing.
Currently, all received claims are in the adjustment and damage assessment stage, and it is intended to carry out insurance adjustment for each event recognized as an insurance event.
It is forecasted that the total volume of damage will exceed 500,000 manats after the assessment process for all events is completed.
We would like to note that during the reporting period, 71% of the events related to the claims received by insurance companies were recorded in the capital, Baku, and 29% in other regions of our republic (especially in the Absheron territory).
