According to the information received by the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations from the Republican Seismic Survey Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded today at 13:05 local time, 50 km east of Lankaran city, at a depth of 70 km in the Caspian Sea.

It was noted that the earthquake was felt at a magnitude of 3-4 in the southern regions of the country.
“No information regarding any damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake has been received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations so far,” the statement emphasized.
