The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has shared the first photograph of the Moon’s far (unseen) side, taken by the crew of the “Orion” spacecraft as part of the “Artemis-2” mission.
“Elchi” reports that the photo shared on the agency’s official “X” page shows Earth disappearing behind the Moon’s horizon. NASA has also set this image as its main profile picture (cover photo).
In addition, the official White House account shared a photo of the eclipse that occurred on April 6. The image shows the Moon covering the Sun, revealing the solar corona. The following words were added to the photo: “A total eclipse beyond Earth. The Moon covers the Sun, revealing a sight seen by only a few people in human history.”
