Legendary former Arsenal and Wales national team footballer Aaron Ramsey has ended his playing career.
“Elchi” reports that the 35-year-old midfielder shared this on his social media account.
“This was not an easy decision. After much thought, I decided to end my career. First and foremost, I thank the Wales national team. It was a great honor for me to wear this jersey and experience so many unforgettable moments. I am grateful to all the coaches and staff members I worked with on this journey.
I address the fans: you were by my side both in difficult and happy days. Together we went through ups and downs, and you became an integral part of our successes. I cannot find words to thank you. I also thank all the clubs I played for throughout my career. I am grateful for giving me the opportunity to play at this level,” he stated in his announcement.
It should be noted that Aaron Ramsey’s last club was Mexico’s “Pumas” team. During his career, he also played for Italy’s “Juventus”, France’s “Nice” and Wales’ “Cardiff” clubs.
