Founding meeting of the Turkish Forensic Expertise Network held in Baku

The founding meeting of the Turkish Forensic Expertise Network was held in Baku with the participation of delegations from 15 forensic expertise institutions of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States.

The Ministry of Justice informed “Elchi” about this.

It was reported that within the framework of the event, participants visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, the Alley of Martyrs, the “Turkish Martyrdom” monument, and Victory Park.

The founding meeting was attended by Abiddin Huseynov, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Can Tuncay, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, Birol Akgün, Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan, and Ömər Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States.

In addition, responsible persons from the forensic expertise institutions of the Republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan also participated in the event.

Within the framework of the meeting, presentations were held by the forensic expertise institutions of the participating countries. The presentations provided information on the forensic expertise systems of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, existing capabilities, and future cooperation prospects.

At the end of the event, a Memorandum on the Turkish Forensic Expertise Network was signed.

It should be noted that this initiative is of great importance in terms of expanding experience exchange in the field of forensic expertise among Turkic states, strengthening institutional cooperation, and forming unified approaches.
