Pakistan and Canadian Foreign Ministers Stress Importance of Reducing Tensions in the Region

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister – Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand.

“Elchi” reports that this was stated in a statement by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on the “X” social network.

“Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation with Anita Anand this evening. They exchanged views on current developments in the region and emphasized the urgent need for de-escalation,” the post noted.

According to the Ministry, Ishaq Dar noted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.

“The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Pakistan-Canada relations, stressed the importance of high-level exchanges and agreed to remain in close contact,” the statement said.
