No country will be granted concessions for passage through the strait

“All countries, without exception, will have to pay security fees for unimpeded passage through the Strait of Hormuz.”

“Elchi” reports that Iran’s “NourNews” information agency published this information, citing sources.

“Safe passage permits through the strait for friendly countries will only be issued after security fees are paid, and no country will be exempt from this,” the agency’s source said.

The source noted that a new protocol regarding the implementation of security fees in the Strait of Hormuz will be strictly applied to all countries, as part of Iran’s strategy for partial compensation for damages incurred from attacks by the US and Israel.

US President Donald Trump threatened on April 5 that if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened by April 6, Iran’s energy and civilian infrastructure would be targeted.
