Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian highly appreciates the sympathy and support shown by the Azerbaijani government and people to his country.
“Elchi” reports that Pezeshkian stated this in a post on his “X” social media account regarding his phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“During my conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, I highly appreciated the sympathy and support shown by the Azerbaijani government and people. Friendly and brotherly nations stand by each other in difficult times, and the deeper the roots of civilization, the stronger this bond becomes,” the Iranian President said.
It should be recalled that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on April 2.
Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude to the head of state for Azerbaijan’s humanitarian aid to Iran.
President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan’s humanitarian aid to Iran would continue and emphasized that the next humanitarian aid would be sent in the near future.
Expressing his concern about the escalation of the situation in Iran, the head of state prayed for God’s mercy on the deceased Iranian citizens.
President Ilham Aliyev stated that he wished for the conflict to end as soon as possible.
During the phone conversation, the necessity of achieving peace in the region as soon as possible was emphasized.
