The US administration plans to reduce the funds allocated for the activities of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) by $5.6 billion, or 23%, in 2027.

“Elchi” reports, citing foreign media, that this was stated in the US federal budget project for the 2027 fiscal year, presented by the White House.

Additionally, the funding for the International Space Station (ISS) is planned to be reduced by $1.1 billion.

“The budget prioritizes the rapid development and deployment of commercial space stations while preserving plans for the safe deorbiting of the ISS in 2030,” the White House emphasized.
