An info tour was organized today to the Lankaran State Vocational Education Center.

“Elchi” reports that the Ministry of Science and Education released information about this.

The info tour was attended by Deputy Minister of Science and Education Kenan Karimzade, employees of the relevant structural divisions of the ministry, representatives of the State Agency for Vocational Education, heads of media organizations, education specialists, journalists and bloggers, as well as other guests.

The main purpose of the info tour is to ensure close familiarity with the reforms implemented in the field of vocational education, modern vocational training opportunities in the regions, and the conditions created for students.

The info tour participants first familiarized themselves with the center’s material and technical base and learning environment. Participants were informed that the center, equipped with modern infrastructure, has established training, sports, dormitory, culinary training blocks, a training-guest house, agricultural and workshop laboratories, a greenhouse, as well as car repair and CNC (computerized numerical control) workshops. At the same time, computer science classrooms, modern classrooms, a military training room, a library, an assembly hall for 300 people, and a dining hall operate here. A dormitory building for 53 people has been constructed on the territory, and after reconstruction, the number of blocks has reached 7.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, 962 students are studying in 55 groups across 42 specialties at the center. The institution provides personnel training in tourism, agriculture, industry, services, IT technologies, and alternative energy fields.

After the new material and technical base was formed at the center, many modern specialties are taught, including technician for technical maintenance and repair of electric and hybrid cars, computer networks and network administration, technical operation of software-controlled industrial equipment, cybersecurity, programming in computer systems, construction and operation of buildings, and specialist and technician in installation and repair of power lines and solar panels.

Here, students are provided with knowledge at the levels of initial vocational, technical vocational, and higher technical vocational education.

During the info tour, master classes organized in various specialty areas were observed. Within this framework, practical sessions of students in horticulture (training in greenhouse conditions), outdoor lesson processes, in-class teaching examples, military and sports training, as well as tailor, barber, clothing designer, chef, and confectioner specialties were demonstrated.

Participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves on-site with the practical orientation of the educational process, students gaining skills suitable for a real work environment, and the organization of vocational education based on modern approaches.

Within the framework of the info tour, a presentation on “Vocational Education in the Regions: Opportunities and Prospects” was delivered by Deputy Minister of Science and Education Kenan Karimzade. The presentation provided detailed information on approaches such as ensuring the accessibility of vocational education, renewed infrastructure, the content of education in vocational training and the professional development of educators, digitalizing vocational education, and a new financing model in vocational education.
