US Exits NATO: Post-War Landscape May Change

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the US and Israel did not receive the expected support from NATO allies in the war that began with their attacks on Iran. Rubio said that after the conflicts end, they would have to re-evaluate this alliance.
“Elchi” reports that, in an interview with Fox News, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio commented on the war that began with US and Israeli attacks on Iran.
Criticizing NATO allies who did not send support to the Strait of Hormuz or allow the use of their bases despite US demands, Rubio said: “We are not asking them to conduct airstrikes. When we need to use their military bases, the answer is ‘No’. So why are we in NATO?”
Rubio claimed that he had “strongly defended” NATO since his time as a senator, but that this Alliance was “increasingly becoming a one-sided relationship.” Stating that the final decision regarding NATO belongs to US President Donald Trump, Rubio added: “After this conflict, we will have to re-evaluate these relationships. We will have to re-evaluate the value of NATO and this Alliance for our country.”
As for their plans regarding Iran, Rubio said they “saw the finish line” and added: “It’s not today or tomorrow, but it’s approaching.”
