Registration for the second attempt of the master’s admission exam has started

Registration has been announced for participation in the second attempt of the admission exam for master’s programs of higher education institutions.

This was reported to “Elchi” by SEC.

It was stated that the application reception for bachelors to participate in the second attempt of the master’s admission exam is conducted online until April 14, 23:59.

Bachelors who applied to participate in the admission exam held in February 2026, if they wish to participate in the second attempt of the exam, add the participation fee (50 AZN) to their “Personal Account” and register by accessing the relevant page of the Center’s website (https://www.e-gov.az/az/services/read/3148/2).

Bachelors who did not register to participate in the first exam can also register for this exam in the same way. These individuals, after creating a “Personal Account” on the Center’s website ekabinet.dim.gov.az (those who do not have a personal account), add the required amount for application to their “Personal Account”. Payment methods for adding the amount to the account can be found on the epayment.dim.gov.az website. These bachelors also access the https://eservices.dim.gov.az/erizemag/erize page, fill out the “Bachelor’s Electronic Application” form, and confirm it.

All bachelors who have graduated from higher education institutions located in the Republic of Azerbaijan and are citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan (those whose higher education information is in the “My Education Data” section of the MyGov.az portal), as well as individuals who have received higher education in foreign countries and have documents confirming the recognition and equivalence of their specialty issued by the Ministry of Science and Education (with relevant information in the “Database of holders of diplomas from foreign higher education institutions recognized and deemed equivalent (nostrified) in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan”), must fill out and confirm the “Bachelor’s Electronic Application” on the Center’s official website during the application reception period for participation in the admission exam.

Individuals whose diploma information is not in the database must first apply to the relevant institution to have them added to the system, and then confirm the “Bachelor’s Electronic Application”.

The master’s admission exam is conducted by SEC in a centralized manner to assess bachelors’ logical thinking, informatics, and foreign language knowledge.

The admission exam (II attempt) is scheduled to be held on May 17, 2026.

In the exam, bachelors will be presented with 50 test tasks for Logical Thinking assessment (including 5 open-ended), 25 test tasks for Informatics (including 5 open-ended), and 20 test tasks for Foreign Language (including 2 open-ended), along with a topic for a written assignment (essay).

When calculating exam results, each correct answer to a test task by the bachelor is evaluated with one point, incorrect answers do not affect the result of correct answers, and the essay is evaluated with a maximum of 5 points. Thus, the maximum possible score in the exam is 100 points.

3 hours are allocated for answering test tasks in the admission exam, and 30 minutes for completing the written assignment (essay), totaling 3 hours and 30 minutes. After 3 hours, answer sheets are collected from bachelors, and special essay sheets are distributed to them for writing the assignment. It should be noted that for choosing specialties taught in English (German), the result for the written assignment (essay) must not be less than 2 points. For choosing specialties taught in Azerbaijani or Russian, there is no score limit for the written assignment (essay).
