Pope Leo XIV called Trump regarding the Middle East

Pope Leo XIV, head of the Vatican City State, stated that US President Donald Trump recently expressed his desire to end the war, adding: “I hope he is looking for a way to reduce violence.”
“Elchi” reports that Pope Leo XIV, head of the Vatican City State and spiritual leader of the Catholic Church, gave a statement to journalists awaiting him yesterday as he left his residence in Castel Gandolfo near Rome to go to the Vatican, regarding current events.
Noting that the Christian world is preparing to celebrate Easter this week and that it is a time of peace, the Pope said: “But as we all know, today we see great suffering and death in many parts of the world, even innocent children are losing their lives.”
Emphasizing that the ultimate goal is the complete end of the war, the Pope said: “President Trump recently stated his desire to end the war. I hope he is looking for a way to reduce violence. This will significantly contribute to reducing the hatred arising in the Middle East and beyond. I appeal to all world leaders: return to the table for dialogue.”
