9 people were detained by the State Border Service during March 2026 for violating the state border.

3 of them were citizens of Azerbaijan, 3 of Pakistan, 2 of Iran, and 1 of Kazakhstan. As a result of measures to combat illegal migration, 6 people were detained for attempting to cross the state border with a forged date stamp and passport, or with documents belonging to another person.
72 people were detained for violating border regime rules, and appropriate measures were taken against them;
as a result of measures to combat crime, 322 people wanted by law enforcement agencies were detained and handed over to the relevant authorities; 582 people prohibited from leaving the country were prevented from doing so, and 11 people prohibited from entering the country were prevented from entering;
as a result of measures to combat illegal drug trafficking, 541 kilograms 132 grams of narcotic substances and 17 narcotic pills were discovered and removed from circulation;
as a result of measures to combat smuggling activities, contraband with a total value of 7 million 573 thousand 290 manats, including Russian Federation currency, ammunition for firearms, medicines, and tobacco products, was discovered and seized.
