Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium, Maksim Prevo, called the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.

During the phone conversation, the current security situation in the Middle East, bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belgium, as well as cooperation prospects within the framework of the European Union were discussed.
The Ministers expressed their deep concern about the existing military escalation in the Middle East and emphasized the importance of a diplomatic resolution to the conflict. In addition, the Belgian Minister expressed solidarity with our country regarding the drone attack from Iranian territory towards Nakhchivan. At the same time, gratitude was expressed to our country for the conditions created for ensuring the evacuation of Belgian citizens from Iran.
The Ministers also exchanged views on the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side about the measures taken towards ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
The parties emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and existing mechanisms such as political consultations, mutual visits, and high-level contacts for further developing cooperation on issues of mutual interest between Azerbaijan and Belgium.
