“Hezbollah” fighters launched more than 50 rockets and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) at Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) positions and settlements in Upper, Lower, and Western Galilee.
elchi reports that this was stated in the movement’s statement on its “Telegram” channel.
“The resistance forces announce the launch of the “Khaybar – 2″ operation for the defense of Lebanon and its people, in response to the bombing of civilians, the displacement of people, and the demolition of homes,” the statement said.
It was noted that “Hezbollah” units attacked a military base on Israel’s northern coast and military facilities located southeast of Haifa. A number of settlements were also shelled.
Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that after the operation in Lebanon is completed, a buffer zone will be created in the border areas up to the Litani River. To eliminate potential threats, homes in villages adjacent to the Israeli border will be demolished.
