In January of this year, 105 buses powered solely by electric motors, worth 29.083 million US dollars, were imported from China to Azerbaijan.
“Elchi” reports, citing the State Statistical Committee, that the cost of one bus amounted to approximately 277 thousand manats.
According to the State Customs Committee, a total of 7,591 vehicles worth 176.5 million US dollars were imported to Azerbaijan in January of this year. Compared to the same period last year, vehicle imports decreased by 72 units or 0.9% in terms of quantity, but increased by 37.5 million US dollars or 27% in terms of value.
During this period, 189 motor vehicles designed to transport 10 or more people, including the driver, worth 36.8 million US dollars, and 6,774 passenger cars and other motor vehicles primarily designed for transporting people, worth 125.7 million US dollars, were imported into the country.
