Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi denied reports of alleged Iranian missile launches towards Turkey during a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.
According to “Elchi”, a statement from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Araqchi “called reports from some sources about missile launches from Iran towards Turkey completely unfounded and warned about the recurrence of ‘false flag operations’ carried out by enemies of peace and friendship in the region”.
Araqchi noted that Tehran is ready to conduct an investigation with Ankara regarding possible missile launches towards Turkey. “The Islamic Republic of Iran is committed to the principle of good neighborliness, respect for Turkey’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and is ready for joint technical cooperation to verify any possible claims,” the diplomat stated.
The head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry called on all countries to “condemn the crimes of the aggressors, especially their attacks on the Islamic Republic’s schools, universities, scientific centers, historical and cultural sites, production and energy infrastructure, as well as residential areas”.
In turn, Fidan “spoke about the recent meeting of the foreign ministers of Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt in Islamabad, expressing the support of the region’s countries for stopping the war and establishing peace and stability”.
