14 Non-Working Days in May

The dates for non-working days in Azerbaijan related to Eid al-Adha (Qurban Bayramı) and Independence Day have been determined.
elchi reports that this year Eid al-Adha falls on May 27 and 28. Additionally, Independence Day is also celebrated in the country on May 28.
According to the decision of the Collegium of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, in accordance with the Labor Code, an additional day off has been granted due to the holidays falling on the same date. For this reason, May 29 has also been declared a non-working day.
As a result, for those working on a five-day work schedule, May 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31 will be days off.
It should also be noted that May 9 – Victory Day over Fascism falls on a Saturday this year. For this reason, May 11 has also been designated as a non-working day.
Also, according to Article 108 of the Labor Code, working hours are reduced by one hour on working days preceding holidays.
Thus, including weekends, there will be a total of 14 non-working days in May.
