Three suspects detained in connection with an attempt to strike Pashinyan in Armenia

One more person has been detained in connection with an attempt to strike Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

According to “Elchi”, Narek Sarkisyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, stated this.

“After today’s incident, police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained three people on suspicion of hooliganism and interference with the legal official and political activities of an official,” he stated.

According to him, all detainees have been handed over to the Investigative Committee.

It was previously reported that a person tried to strike the Prime Minister while he was leaving the Holy Anna Church in Yerevan after a liturgy held on Sunday. Two people were detained in connection with the incident.

It is noted that the incident was live-streamed on Facebook.
