Local elections were held today in several cities and municipalities in Serbia.
“Elchi” reports that the voting started at 07:00 local time and continued until 20:00.
According to the Municipal Election Commission, voter turnout as of 16:00 was 65.73% in Sevoyno, 64% in Bajina Bašta, 60.93% in Kula, 58% in Aranđelovac, 55.11% in Knjaževac, 49.94% in Smederevska Palanka, 48.93% in Majdanpek, 45.38% in Kladovo, and 51.4% in Bor.
As for what happened during the election process, opposition supporters gathered in front of several facilities in the Kula and Crvenka areas, including in front of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) headquarters in Crvenka, and accused SNS members and supporters of manipulation.
After some time, they attempted to enter the facility, but this was prevented by the police.
