A US Air Force strategic transport aircraft, the “C-17A Globemaster III”, issued an emergency signal with code 7700 shortly after taking off from Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.
“Elchi” reports that the analytical resource “Egypt’s Intel Observer” published information about this.
According to the information, the aircraft was flying towards King Faisal (Air Base) located in Jordan.
It should be noted that the emergency signal with code 7700 indicates a general emergency situation during flight and shows that the crew is facing a mechanical failure, a health problem, or another critical situation.
At the same time, the “TASS” agency, citing a source, reported that a US Air Force transport aircraft made an emergency landing in Turkey.
“The “Boeing C-17A Globemaster III” aircraft, which took off from near the Greek island of Kos, sent an emergency signal while in Turkish airspace and is currently making a landing,” the source said.
The source did not disclose the reason for the emergency situation on the aircraft. The aircraft in question performed its first flight approximately 20 years ago.
