Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke by phone with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The Turkish leader congratulated Tokayev on the successful conduct of the nationwide referendum and the adoption of Kazakhstan’s new Constitution, stating that this was possible thanks to the wise and confident policy of the head of state.
Tokayev thanked the Turkish observers for their active participation and assistance in conducting the referendum, stating that this reflects the traditional fraternal and friendly nature of relations between the two countries.
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of the planned state visit to Kazakhstan on May 14. Both leaders emphasized the importance of high-level talks to be held in Astana to further develop bilateral strategic partnership, particularly the meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council and the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The Turkish President, in turn, invited his Kazakh counterpart to the meeting of the Diplomatic Forum to be held in Antalya in April. Tokayev accepted the invitation.
