The last 11 years have been recorded as the hottest in history

The United Nations (UN) weather agency announced that the last 11 years, between 2015-2025, were the hottest years since records began.
“Elchi” reports that the Global Climate Status report published by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) states that 2025 ranks overall second or third.
According to records kept since 1850, the report confirmed that the last eleven years were the hottest period in history.
It was noted that in 2025, the global temperature increase exceeded the pre-industrial average by approximately 1.43 degrees. This data confirmed WMO’s previous forecasts.
Record level of glacier mass loss
The report emphasized that glacier mass loss in significant regions was among the five largest losses in history. It was stated that extraordinary melting occurred in glaciers, especially in Iceland and North America.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated in his remarks on the topic that the global climate situation constitutes an “emergency.” Guterres said that the planet is being pushed beyond its limits and all key climate indicators are sounding a red alarm.
