In January-February of this year, ferrous metals worth 6 million 602 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan to foreign markets.
“Elchi” reports, citing the State Customs Committee, that this is 14.9% more compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, ferrous metals worth 86 million 719 thousand US dollars were imported into the country. This is 23.8% less compared to the analogous period last year.
In the first two months of the current year, ferrous metal exports constituted 0.18% of total exports, while imports constituted 3.34% of total imports. During the period, ferrous metal imports exceeded exports by 13.1 times.
