A number of well-known artists participated in the holiday concert, creating a pleasant atmosphere with their colorful performances and acts.
At the celebration, various folk games and sketches reflecting the ancient traditions of our folklore were presented. Actors in the roles of Dede Gorgud, king, vizier, executioner, and ozans (ashugs), accompanied by phaetons decorated with holiday attributes and horsemen, arrived on the scene and performed, bringing joy to the audience.
At the celebration, which took place thanks to the organization and personal initiative of Elchin Mikayilov, a resident of the district currently living in Jabrayil city, participants included poet Farzali Abbasalioglu, a member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, Honored Artist Sevinj Sariyeva, accordion player Rahman Jabrayilli, kamancheh player Khataya Jafarova, actor Natig Haziyev of the Jafar Jabbarli Yerevan State Azerbaijani Drama Theater, khananda (mugham singer) Khasay Shikhiyev, Yusif Jafarbeyli, finalist of the IX “Mugham” Television Competition, saz player Ravan Musali, the collective of Khan Shushinski Children’s Mugham Music School, and others.
The holiday celebration, which continued until the evening hours, concluded with the lighting of bonfires, considered a symbol of Novruz, fireworks, and to the sound of national music.
