US President Donald Trump announced that they held talks with seven countries regarding the security of the Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing developments concerning US and Israeli attacks on Iran and Iran’s retaliatory measures.
“Elchi” reports that, according to news in the US press, Trump made a statement to journalists on Air Force One regarding the security of the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump, stating that they spoke with seven countries on this matter, said, “They get a large portion of their oil, approximately 90 percent, from the strait. I said, ‘Do you want to come?’ Let’s see what happens. Maybe they will come, maybe they won’t.”
Trump also shared information that they offered cooperation to China, which uses a large portion of the crude oil transported by sea through the strait.
Trump, claiming that oil prices would fall with the end of the war, stated that the war would end “quite quickly.”
