“EU discusses prospects of opening Strait of Hormuz” – Kallas

European Union (EU) Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas stated that the EU is interested in the opening of the Strait of Hormuz for oil transit.

“Elchi” reports that “Reuters” published this information.

“Keeping the Strait of Hormuz open serves the interests of the EU, so we are also discussing what we can do on the European side in this direction,” Kallas said.

On Monday night, European time, US President Donald Trump stated that if allies do not help unblock the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has virtually closed due to the US-Israel war against Iran, it “will be very bad for the future of NATO” and has been for the third week already. Specifically, he called on France and Great Britain, as well as Japan, China, and South Korea, to participate in a “joint effort” to lift the blockade of oil transit in the Persian Gulf, which has already led to a significant increase in oil prices.
