Bus stations to operate in enhanced mode during holidays

Due to Novruz and Ramadan holidays, all bus terminals and bus stations operating in the territory of the republic will operate in an enhanced work regime from March 19-30.

This was reported to “Elchi” by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA).

It was noted that relevant instructions have been given to all bus terminals and bus stations regarding the provision of continuous and safe movement by carriers performing intercity and inter-district passenger transportation, the legal sale of tickets from cash desks in accordance with tariffs, the prevention of possible passenger congestion during holidays, as well as strict adherence to the approved bus schedules.

At the Baku International Bus Terminal Complex (BBAK), special control will be exercised over the interval of buses released on routes in accordance with passenger flow during holidays, and drivers’ adherence to safety rules in passenger transportation.

To prevent passenger congestion, the release of a sufficient number of additional buses on the route will be ensured.

Citizens can obtain tickets online from the https://biletim.az/ portal, as well as from the cash desks of bus terminals.

According to the information, it is currently possible to buy tickets for 58 points and 91 destinations on the portal. 403 vehicles with 355 routes have been connected to the system.

The agency recommends citizens to purchase tickets online via the “biletim.az” portal to reach their destination more comfortably and safely.
