The “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a fire breaking out in a multi-story residential building located on T. Abbasov street, Nizami district, Baku city.
According to information from the Ministry, forces of the State Fire Protection and Special Risky Rescue Services of the MES were immediately dispatched to the area in connection with the report.
During the assessment of the operational situation at the scene, it was determined that the fire occurred in an apartment located on the 15th floor of an eighteen-story residential building and there was a possibility of it spreading to other apartments.
Thanks to the prompt intervention of MES forces, the fire was extinguished in a short time without being allowed to spread.
As a result of the fire, the combustible structures of a three-room apartment with a total area of 71 sq.m. burned over an area of 50 sq.m. One injured person was rescued by rescuers and handed over to an ambulance crew, and 8 residents of the building were evacuated. The remaining part of the apartment and neighboring apartments were protected from the fire.
