One of the most important outcomes of the Washington Summit was the laying of the foundation for the Zangezur corridor.
“Elchi” reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov stated this during the presentation of the “Report on the Activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2025”.
It was noted that the Summit held in Washington on August 8, 2025, with the participation of the leaders of Azerbaijan, the United States of America, and Armenia, allowed for the formation of new geopolitical realities in our region and the creation of favorable conditions for sustainable peace and development in the region.
One of the most important outcomes of the Washington Peace Summit was the laying of the foundation for the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) – the Zangezur corridor: “This multimodal route will ensure unhindered connection between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and at the same time, it will serve to diversify international transport and transit routes passing through our country.”
