During 2025, 40 children were placed with foster families.
According to “Elchi”, this was reflected in the ‘Report on the Activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2025’, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis.
“In the reporting year, 296 children (a total of 855 children since November 1, 2022) were placed in institutions, 324 children left institutions (a total of 828 children since November 1, 2022), and it was deemed appropriate for 275 children (a total of 822 children since November 1, 2022) to remain under family care, preventing their placement in institutions,” the report stated.
It was also reported that, as a result of reintegration measures, 176 children (a total of 840 children since 2020) were returned to their families.
