First passenger train arrived from North Korea to China after 6 years

The first passenger train service from North Korea to China has taken place since travel between the two countries was suspended in 2020.
“Elchi” reports, citing Yonhap, that the passenger train departing from Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, arrived in Beijing, the capital of China, this morning.
The train, which departed from Pyongyang at 10:26 AM local time yesterday, arrived in Beijing at 08:40 AM local time today after a 22-hour and 14-minute journey.
The train that departed from Beijing yesterday also arrived in Pyongyang yesterday evening. Thus, the first reciprocal passenger services on the train line took place after a 6-year hiatus.
The Chinese railway company announced earlier this week that it would resume passenger train services to North Korea, which were suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The announcement stated that train services would operate four days a week – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
