Cyberpolice detained a person who blackmailed women using artificial intelligence programs – VIDEO

The Main Department for Combating Cybercrime (MDCC) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has detained another person who edited citizens’ photos and videos in an offensive manner, shared them on social networks, and demanded money in exchange for their deletion.

This was reported to “Elchi” by the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the information, as a result of operational-technical measures carried out by the cyberpolice in this direction, 21-year-old Mirhuseyn Atakishiyev, suspected of committing the mentioned acts, was detained.

It was determined that M. Atakishiyev obtained photos and video images of women from “TikTok”, “Instagram” and “Telegram” social networks. He then edited these images using artificial intelligence programs, added offensive texts, and shared them again on social networks through fake accounts. He demanded various sums of money from the victimized women in exchange for preventing the wider dissemination of the photos and videos, as well as for their deletion.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Main Department regarding the fact.

M. Atakishiyev has been charged under the relevant article of the Criminal Code and has been brought to investigation as an accused person.

By court decision, a pre-trial detention measure has been chosen for the detained person.

We reiterate that in the modern era, where artificial intelligence technologies are rapidly developing, every photo and video you share on social networks can be altered, edited, and misused by various individuals.

For this reason, we advise citizens to be extremely careful when sharing personal photos and videos on their social media accounts, not to share their personal information and images with people they don’t know, and not to believe suspicious messages and offers.

Remember that protecting personal information is primarily everyone’s own responsibility.
