In 2025, 184,419 foreigners lived in Azerbaijan on legal grounds.
According to “Elchi”, this was reflected in the ‘Report on the Activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2025’, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis.
It was noted that in 2024, the number of such persons was 184,835.
It was also noted that during the reporting year, a total of 941.4 thousand applications were received by the Service regarding registration at the place of stay, extension of temporary stay, obtaining (extension of) temporary and permanent residence and work permits, granting refugee status, citizenship, readmission and other issues, of which 330.5 thousand were received through electronic services in the field of migration.
