ANAMA delegation held meetings in several Chinese companies

A delegation led by Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), held meetings in several companies specializing in the production of mine clearance equipment in the People’s Republic of China, within the framework of an official visit to that country.

“Elchi” reports that ANAMA released information about this.

During the meeting held at Nuctech, a company operating in the field of security and inspection technologies, ANAMA made a comprehensive presentation on the mine problem faced by our country, the activities carried out to eliminate this problem, and the methodologies used.

Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Agency’s Board, stated that the field of mine action is considered an important part of the comprehensive strategic partnership between our countries, and that the visit is a result of the Joint Statement signed between the leaders of the two countries and the Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening cooperation in humanitarian mine action between ANAMA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

During the meeting, Lu Xinping, Deputy Director for Asia and CIS countries of the company, provided detailed information about the company’s activities and existing technological capabilities.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place regarding the testing of X-ray devices used in the detection of explosive ordnance, as well as the improvement of their technical specifications. The suitability of the equipment for the Agency’s activities and its potential use in operations were reviewed.

The delegation familiarized themselves with the company’s production process, and various X-ray systems for different purposes and other modern technological equipment were demonstrated.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation also held a meeting at Beijing Heweiyongtai Sci & Tech company. During the meeting, a presentation was made on the special technical means and innovative solutions produced by the company, and discussions were held on technologies that could be used in humanitarian mine action activities and cooperation opportunities.

During the meetings, the parties emphasized that the development of mutual cooperation and the application of modern technologies would contribute to a more efficient organization of activities in the field of humanitarian mine action.
