The European Union must prepare a Plan B for Ukraine’s 90 billion euro loan and consider how to prevent Hungary from vetoing the loan.
“Elchi” reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about this in an interview with Politico.
Zelensky stated that Hungary is engaged in ‘blackmail’ and therefore Europe and Ukraine need a ‘Plan B’.
“Both we and Europe need this ‘Plan B’. Our partners and true friends in Europe know well that we are defending not only Ukraine’s values but also the freedom of all of Europe,” Zelensky said.
Answering a question about Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Zelensky noted that ‘diplomatic silence’ is not very useful in relations with him.
The Ukrainian leader also accused Orbán of being Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ‘strategic partner’, ‘friend’, and ‘ally’.
“Orbán stands on the side of the Russian leader. He blocks everything related to Ukraine. Today he only doesn’t do one thing — he doesn’t attack our territory with missiles or drones and doesn’t send his soldiers. But he repeats the same narratives spread by Russia. He does this personally,” Zelensky emphasized.
