President’s Assistant: Today Azerbaijan and Armenia are deepening the peace agenda

We are trying to ensure that no one comes to the region and teaches us a lesson.

“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, in his speech at a panel discussion titled “Multilateralism in Crisis: Reconsidering Global Cooperation” within the framework of the XIII Global Baku Forum held in Baku.

He noted that countries outside the region can put forward their interests and contribute to the region: “In the early years of independence, we placed our hopes in international organizations. However, we resolved the conflict through military and political means.”

The President’s Assistant added that today Azerbaijan and Armenia are deepening the peace agenda.
