“Elchi” reports that President Ilham Aliyev stated this in his speech at the opening ceremony of the XIII Global Baku Forum.
“The 28-year mediation of the Minsk Group practically failed. The co-chairs’ goal was not to resolve the conflict, but to freeze it and use it as a means of pressure on both countries. Therefore, we rejected this mediation. As soon as we started bilateral talks, we achieved peace,” the head of state noted.
